The training session for tutors and trainers organised by FIER II in Ségou, is part of the project partnership with the National Institute of Engineering and Vocational Training -INIFORP-. In particular, collaboration is based on the training by the institute of tutors and apprentices (MA) in training engineering to improve the quality of apprenticeship training they provide to rural youth.
The training involved thirty (30) Tutors and Masters of Learning (MA) on tutoring and was oriented to the supporting professions.
More specifically, they were:
- show, explain and verify good practice and monitor progress in learning,
- prepare for the arrival of the apprentice,
- accommodate the person,
- follow up the apprentice,
- measuring the achievements, assessing the progress of the apprentice,
- maintain relationships with its environment (training centre, etc.);
- be a tutor (the role and responsibilities of the tutor/MA);
- provide the Tutors and Masters with learning tools to monitor the apprentice.
FIER II and INIFORP are both attached to the Ministry of National Entrepreneurship, Employment and Vocational Training. They formally collaborate in a memorandum with a three-year action plan to promote vocational training engineering.
