by | Mar 9, 2026

Digital transformation is central to the implementation of the FIER II project. In this dynamic, strategic training has been organised from 23-28 February 2026 at Badalabougou Digital Campus. This session brought together the focal points of the Regional Coordination Units (UCR) of Kayes, Koulikoro, Sikasso and Ségou, as well as the specialists of the National Coordination Unit (UCN). It aimed to strengthen their skills in writing and publishing content for effective animation of the project website.

At the end of the training, it is clear that each participant now has the skills to actively contribute to the facilitation of the FIER II website.

This increase in competence is an essential lever for:

• To enhance the value of field activities;

• Make the impacts of the project visible to the public and partners;

• Ensure regular, reliable and professional dissemination of information.

The initiative responds to the need for a fluid and responsive mechanism for reporting on the activities of the FIER II project. The main objectives were:

• Improve the editorial capacity of staff in charge of monitoring activities;

• Standardize the production of articles and digital content;

• Train participants in fast and structured online information;

• Ensure regular and dynamic animation of the project website.

For five days, COSIT provided intensive training combining theory, practical exercises and online simulations. The topics covered included:
• Journalistic writing techniques adapted to development projects;

• Good practices to structure an article, prioritize information and value the results of the field;

• Mastering the management interface of the FIER II project website;

• procedures for the posting of illustrations and archiving of content;

• Essential rules to ensure consistent and professional communication.

In a process of dynamic and interactive participation, the focal points of the RCUs benefited from personalized support enabling them to practice, correct and improve their productions. Exchanges also focused on the need for close collaboration between regional and national teams to ensure a continuous flow of information.
The NCU specialists have strengthened their supervisory and coordinating role in digital content management.

Ultimately, the training of RCU focal points and NCU specialists is a major step in strengthening the communication mechanism of the FIER II project. The skills acquired will boost the digital presence of the project and ensure greater visibility of its achievements. With these new achievements, regional and national teams are better equipped to inform, value and support beneficiaries through a live, responsive and fully operational website.
