In Sikasso, post-financing support for the FIER II project is entering a concrete phase. On 29 June 2026, the Regional Coordination Unit brought together twenty-three coaching and coaching advisers from the Youth Employment Promotion Agency in its meeting room for a capacity-building session prior to the launch of activities in the field.
The challenge is to give these advisors a strong command of the project's methodological guide and tools so that they can effectively support rural youth in their economic initiatives. The meeting was also used to familiarize the APEJ teams with the FIER II project. It was also an opportunity to provide the advisers of the APEJ with the documents necessary to start their support: youth business plans and lists by municipality.
A total of 613 young people are involved in the Sikasso region, including 480 income-generating activities (AGR) and 133 rural micro-enterprises (MER), distributed among the circles of Kadiolo, Kolondièba and Yorosso. For each of them, this post-financing support represents the decisive step: turning the financing obtained into sustainable economic activity.
The session concluded with a series of recommendations to adjust implementation on the ground, a signal that the advisers themselves have fully appropriated the challenges of their mission.
