How can we understand the impact of Covid-19 on violence against women in Côte d'Ivoire?
Violence against women is a real social problem that shakes the world of human rights.
To better understand this issue during the health crisis, our team conducted a study for our client on the impact of the Covid-19 on women's well-being. This study in the CATI format (a reliable method of collecting by telephone) helped to circumvent the health-related challenge and reached 1,500 women aged 18-60 in Côte d'Ivoire.
The study helped to understand and determine the different types of violence and other forms of discrimination suffered by women, assess the impact of Covid-19 on violence against women, provide reliable measures, provide services and other security measures implemented by the Ministry of Health and Public Health against women victims of violence. It also provided the sponsor with an important advocacy tool for greater investment in eliminating violence against women.
